Who can participate?
Singers
Singers of any genre are invited to participate. To be eligible, you need to be either
• a professional singer, or
• someone who has studied singing at a tertiary level, or
• currently studying singing at a tertiary level
You also need to possess full, active absolute pitch. This means that you can automatically and effortlessly:
• identify (name or write in musical notation) any musical pitch you hear without needing to hear a reference pitch; and
• sing any specified note without needing to hear a reference pitch.
If you previously had this ability or your sense of pitch has shifted, we are also interested in hearing from you.
If you are not sure whether you possess AP, you are welcome to contact us to discuss.
Singing Teachers
Teachers of any genre are invited to participate. To be eligible, you need to be
• a professional singing teacher, and
• have experience teaching at least 1 singer who has absolute pitch (see description above).
